About the great sport of flyball
the sport of flyball is a fast and exciting relay race between two teams of dogs, governed by the Australian flyball association. two teams of four dogs race against each other. the race course consists of 4 jumps spaced 10 feet apart, with a start line 6 feet in front of the 1st jump and a flyball box 15 feet from the last jump. the jumps are set at 4 inches smaller than the smallest dog on the team, the highest possible jumps are 16 inches whilst the lowest being 8 inches.

the 1st dog must race over all four hurdle and trigger the box with its paws. the box then releases a tennis ball, wich the dog must catch and bring back over all four jumps to its handler.

as the 1st dog returns the second dog starts running idealy passing nose to nose with the 1st dog. (the dog is faulted if it passes to early)

the race continues untill all of the dogs have raced. if a dog misses a jump or drops the ball it must return to the end of the line and run again.

the first team that finishes running all four dogs first wins that race.
